Angela Cavender

Tameka Gunn

Tameka Gunn is the President and CEO of Community Link. Prior to this role, she served as the Vice President and ensured the quality and quantity of the agency’s Homelessness to Housing and Asset Building programs, including supervising the programs’ management teams.

Gunn joined Community Link as a housing coordinator in 2007 and has 19 years of experience in social work, most of that time in management positions, and has been with Community Link for 17 years. Tameka received her Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Old Dominion University and her Master of Public Administration from Strayer University.

Her passion for this work is all about family and community. The lives that Community Link has changed continue to inspire her passion for service. She has been married to her husband Darryl since 2007. They have one son.

Angela Cavender started working for Community Link in October, 2000.  At that time, the agency provided Travelers Aid and services to the homeless population in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg region. Angela provides essential administrative support to the board and leadership team at Community Link to ensure all operations function smoothly. Her responsibilities include retaining agency records, organizing meetings and maintaining effective communications.

Angela has been honored as Employee of the Year and promoted several times though out her career with Community Link: "It has been my joy, to watch our staff assist individuals that are truly striving for a better life – one with housing stability at the core... Every day, I strive to make the agency a great place to work and provide support to each member of our staff.  I like to think that I do make a difference even though I don’t work directly with our customers and their families."

Marsha Clark

Marsha Clark is the Program Manager of Asset Building Services at Community Link. In this role, she works with financial institution volunteers, provides homeownership counseling to pre‑purchase customers, and coordinates the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

She is a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor, a certified NeighborWorks homeownership practitioner, and accredited by the Association for Financial Counseling, Planning and Education. She has been a financial counselor with Community Link for 19 years.

Marsha received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Johnson C. Smith University and her Master of Public Administration from Strayer University.

Lori Beullah

Lori Beullah is the Director of Homeless to Housing Services at Community Link. In this role, she oversees all Homeless to Housing programs and works closely with the executive team to ensure program quality and operations. Lori brings over 25 years of experience in social services to Community Link, from adoptions to working with the veteran population.

Lori joined Community Link in 2016 as a Housing Case Worker, covering the 5 County Piedmont Region.  Lori is also a certified Housing Quality Standards Inspector with numerous passed inspections under her belt that have enabled Community Link customers to become stably housed.

In 2020 Lori accepted the role of Program Manager of Housing Coordination Services, managing our city, county and HUD projects. Lori was promoted in 2022 to Director of Homeless to Housing Services and has been using her skills to serve some of the most vulnerable populations in Mecklenburg County, the Piedmont Region and Northern Counties.

Lori holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, with a minor in Communications, from Cleveland State University and an Associate in Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University.

Robin Bridges

Robin Bridges is the Intake and Travelers Aid Manager at Community Link. Robin manages staff who collect initial communications with the agency including in-person, over the phone, and through the Community Link website. We answer over 12,000 calls annually.

In addition to her intake responsibilities, Robin also manages the Travelers Aid program and has for 12 years. Travelers will come through intake and Robin works with them to ensure their arrival at a safe haven elsewhere in the country.

Robin has been with the agency for 25 years.
